Our Staff come from a variety of different backgrounds and nationalities giving us access to a wide range of skills and languages that has proved to be an asset when providing care to our multicultural comumunity and large tourist population.
Dr Kornelis Bakker
Kees is the owner of the practice. His main interests are chronic disease management, acute medicine and skin checks. Kees enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them look after their health.
When he’s not at the clinic, Kees loves being outdoors and is probably more at home on the water then on land. He Enjoys kitesurfing, camping and getting out and about whenever he can.
Geert works at Carnarvon Regional Hospital and joins us at the Medical Centre on Wednesdays. He has a keen interest in emergency medicine, obstetrics and general practice. Geert also works alongside with the Antenatal clinic, providing care and support to mums throughout their pregnancy.
Outside from work, Geert loves getting outdoors. He enjoys camping, traveling with his kids and making the most of the life in the region.
Dr Nnaemeka Eze
Nnaemeka is one of our senior doctors and has been part of our practice since 2013. He has a certificate in skin checks and has a special interst in geriatrics, family health and general medicine. He enjoys caring for his patients from everyday health concerns to ongoing and chronic health conditions.
Although Nnameka is now based in Geraldton, he remains a valued part of our team and travels to Carnarvon Every two weeks to continue caring for our local patients.
Danny has been working at the medical Centre since 2020. Danny’s Areas of Interest are: General Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Men's health, Mental health, Chronic disease management and Minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Shasha Alizadeh Raised in Perth, Dr Shasha Alizadeh has worked in healthcare since 2009. After completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy and working as a clinical pharmacist, he went on to study Medicine and has been practising as a doctor since 2015.
Dr Alizadeh has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, having worked across major metropolitan hospitals in Perth as well as regional Western Australia. He continues to work in the Emergency Department at Carnarvon Hospital and has a strong interest in providing high-quality, comprehensive care to rural and regional communities.
Dr Thi Nguyen
Thi is a graduate of the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, HCMC, Vietnam. He has a special interest in general medicine, children’s health and Skin medicine including office based minor procedures such as excision of skin lesions.
Thi enjoys getting to know his patient and helping them feel comfortable and well informed about their health. He speaks both English and Vietnamese.
Outside from work, Thi enjoys spending time with his puppy Foxy and if he’s not in the clinic he is looking after/growing his fresh produce in his garden.

Helen has a special interest in chronic disease management, wound care and venesections. Helen is also a qualified cancer counsellor and enjoys supporting patients with their health and wellbeing.

Jo has a wide range of experience in nursing and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Her areas of interest include immunisations, venesections, wound care and chronic disease management. She enjoys helping patients with their ongoing health needs.

Teeka enjoys all areas of general practice nursing, with an interest in wound care, cervical screening and venesections. She enjoys getting to know our patients and supporting them with their day to day and ongoing health care.

Helen is one of our Cervical screening nurses and has an interest in woman’s health. She also enjoys wound care, venesections and general health care. She is always happy to support patients with their ongoing health needs.

Sarah is one of the newest member of our nursing team, Before joining us at CMC, she worked in the Emergency Department, where she gained valuble experience caring for patients with a wide range of health needs. Sarah is now enjoying the change to General practice and getting to know our patients and the local community

Practice Manager
Jillian has worked at the Carnarvon medical centre since March 2004 in the role of Practice Manager. She has been instrumental in the establishment of the Rural Clinical School (medical students) and has recruited overseas trained doctors and junior doctor to our practice. Jillian loves working in such a positive vibrant environment.
Karla
Office Manager
Originally from the Philippines, Karla has been at the Carnarvon Medical Centre since July 2011, starting as a casual receptionist and progressing to a more permanent part-time role. Karla speaks 5 languages and is a vibrant happy team member who fits in very well with our practice.

Lena has been working at the Carnarvon Medical Centre since October 2017, she’s very energetic and quick to attend to client’s needs. Lena enjoys all aspects of her job.
